Virat Kohli made his first appearance in Ranji Trophy for Delhi since 2012.
Thousands filled the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi to catch a glimpse of Virat Kohli, who played his first Ranji Trophy match for Delhi since 2012. DDCA has announced free entry for fans and more than 14,000 people attended the play on day 1.
As Railways was asked to bat first by Delhi captain Ayush Badoni, the crowd was left disappointed that they would not see Virat Kohli bat. However, the 36-year-old ensured that fans were kept entertained as he continued with his antics on the field.
Kohli, being the show-stopper he is, did not disappoint the crowd and had a few humorous moments with them, taking the atmosphere at the historic arena to the next level.
Kohli raised his hands a few times and pointed his ears toward the crowd to hear them cheer. He also gestured toward his tummy, asking the audience whether they had eaten anything.
In response, the crowd at Arun Jaitley Stadium cheered him on every time he signaled toward them, and the commotion never stopped.
The video of Virat Kohli egging on the two sections of the crowd to cheer for him the loudest went viral on social media.

In response, Delhi ended day one on 41/1 with Yash Dhull on 17* and Sanat Sangwan on 9*, with Arpit Rana being the batter dismissed for 10 runs by Kunal Yadav.
