Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan was put on the spot by an anchor of a TV show when he was asked about several actresses claiming that various Pakistani cricketers have sent them messages on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Love stories between cricketers and actresses have long been popular. They combine the glamour of the film business with the thrill of cricket. There have been countless cases of affairs between cricketers and actresses.
Shadab Khan appeared on the Geo TV show "Hansna Mana Hai", and the anchor asked the all-rounder about the allegations about actresses claiming that they have received messages on social media platforms from Pakistan cricketers.
Shah Taj Khan, a TikTok user, had claimed that she was close to Shadab Khan and that the two had exchanged messages on social media. Actresses such as Momina Iqbal and Nawal Saeed have previously revealed that cricketers routinely message them.
Host Tabish Hashmi asked the all-rounder, "Do cricketers really send messages to actors and TikTokers on social media, or are these just baseless claims?"
Shadab replied, "If a cricketer messages an actress or TikToker, there's nothing wrong with it. If actresses receive messages and don't like them, they should simply not respond."
"If actresses don't reply, they won't get more messages. But if they respond and then expect replies while complaining about getting messages, that's not how it works. "I've seen videos of some actresses making big claims, but that's not always the reality. Sometimes, things are exaggerated,” Shadab added.
Shadab said such statements are made purely for publicity, particularly during important cricket competitions.
"It's a way to get attention. There's no fight within the team over who messaged an actress. But yes, everyone does ask each other who sent the message,” he stated.
Shadab addressed these allegations without mentioning any specific individuals.
