The Wankhede Stadium hosted a grand event featuring former and current Mumbai cricketers.
Former India and Mumbai cricketer Vinod Kambli was seen attending the MCA event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kambli attended the event along with his wife Andrea Hewitt and his children.
Kambli has recently suffered from several diseases and was brought to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with brain clots. However, he was released after a few days, on Sunday.
He was observed being assisted by his wife Andrea Hewitt in walking inside the stadium for the ceremony. Kambli recently attended a felicitation event at the stadium, when the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) honored several past cricketers.
A few days ago, Kambli also attended a felicitation event at the stadium where several former cricketers were awarded by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

During the event, India captain Rohit Sharma promised that his team would do it's best to bring the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy to the iconic venue for another round of celebration.
As the 2025 Champions Trophy was taken onto the stage and exhibited to the fans, Rohit stated one of the most cherished experiences of his life was presenting the 2024 T20 World Cup to Wankhede following an open-top bus journey around Marine Drive.
The Champions Trophy, which is on a Trophy Tour around all participating countries, was brought into the Wankhede to mark the occasion.
