Pakistan made 211 after being asked to bat first in 1st Test v South Africa in Cape Town.
The Boxing Day Test between South Africa and Pakistan got underway in Centurion on December 26, 2024. The two sides will play a 2-Test series with the second game in Cape Town from January 3 onwards.
Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to field first At Supersport Park and his bowlers did well by removing the first three batters Shan Masood (17), Saim Ayub (14), and Babar Azam (4) for cheap.
Kamran Ghulam then held up one end and scored a beautiful 54 runs, and he got support from Mohammad Rizwan (27) and Khurram Shahzad (28) as Pakistan posted 211 runs in the first innings.
For South Africa, Dane Paterson took a fifer, while debutant Corbin Bosch took 4/63, including a wicket of his first ball in Test cricket, as he dismissed Pakistan's captain.
