Pakistan batter Babar Azam once again failed to play an impactful knock during the second T20I against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday (November 16).

After Pakistan were set a moderate target of 148 to chase, Babar departed for run-a-ball three. This added to Babar’s failure to score big runs across formats following his Test snub against England at home last month.

During the second T20I, Babar Azam was also at the receiving end of insulting remarks from a section of Sydney crowd.

In a video doing rounds on social media, a group of fans can be heard taunting him: “Have some shame, (T20 mein teri jagah nahi banti) you have no place in T20s, go back to Pakistan.”

Babar, who was fielding near the boundary ropes at the time, looked visibly upset at those comments as he turned and gave them an intense stare.

Here’s the viral clip:

Earlier, Pakistan rode on Haris Rauf’s fantastic bowling performance (4-22) to restrict the Aussies to 147/9 in 20 overs. Abbas Afridi (3-17) and Sufiyan Muqeem (2-21) also returned with exceptional spells with the ball.

With this loss, Pakistan conceded an unassailable 0-2 lead in the three-match series. The Men Green will look to register a consolation victory in the third and final T20I match in Hobart on Monday (November 18).
