Virat Kohli urged people to use social media in a positive way.
India cricketer Virat Kohli has shared a very special message for his fans on social media and all the young people who use the internet on their devices. He asked them to keep a positive mindset while using the internet and stop trolling people online.
Like all celebrities, Virat Kohli has been a victim of unnecessary flak and criticism on social media on many occasions.
In a video shot with YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary, Virat Kohli urged the youngsters to not troll anyone, not use social media for negativity and not show off.
"Use all your gadgets and use them positively. You all have access to social media, use it for good things, and keep a positive mindset. Your gadgets give you access to gather information but look at the world with a positive mindset. There should be no trolling, no negativity, no making fun of people, don't feed off negative things and if you keep a positive mindset, you will be rewarded accordingly,” Kohli says in the video.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will be under focus as he has struggled with the bat this year. He is currently in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025 Test series.
The 36-year-old has scored just one fifty this year - 70 against New Zealand in the second innings of the first Test at Bengaluru, while his last Test century came in July 2023 against the West Indies.
The first Test will be played in Perth from November 22 onwards and Kohli has played two Tests in Perth, one at WACA and another at Optus Stadium.
In 2012 in WACA, Kohli made 44 and 75 in the two innings, as Australia won by an innings and 37 runs. Then in 2018, at Optus Stadium, Kohli became the first batsman to score a Test hundred at the new venue, but India lost the match.
India needs to win 4 Tests in Australia to directly qualify for the World Test Championships final that is scheduled to be held at Lord's in June 2025.
