Mohammed Siraj also got a 600-square-yard plot in posh Jubilee hills area in Hyderabad.
Mohammed Siraj, India pacer, who hails from Hyderabad, was appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) under the supervision of the Director General of Police (DGP) in Telangana.
He formally took over on Friday after meeting with Telangana Director General of Police Jitender in the presence of other senior officials at the DGP's office.
Following Siraj's return to the city after helping India win the T20 World Cup in Barbados, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy fulfilled a previous commitment by awarding Siraj a 600-square-yard plot on Road No. 78 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, to recognize his achievements.
Siraj, who is currently one of India's top three fast bowlers and is nearly certain to make the XI in all three formats, has progressively progressed through the ranks since debuting in Australia in 2020-21.
The right-arm fast bowler, who has faced his fair share of adversity in his early career, has pushed against the odds to get to where he is today.
Siraj, the current T20 World Cup champion, has played 29 Tests, 44 ODIs, and 16 T20Is for India, taking 78, 71, and 14 wickets, respectively.
Mohammed Siraj’s fans were very happy as he assumed the charge of DSP and shared their joy on social media platform X.
