Virat Kohli will be the key for India when they tour Australia for a five-Test series later this year. Kohli was recently seen in action against Bangladesh and then went home to London for a short break.

Now as India preps for the three-Test New Zealand series at home, Kohli was spotted at Mumbai airport, surrounded by a sea of paparazzi and media. One photographer caught Kohli off guard with an enthusiastic comment about the BGT 2024.

He said: "BGT mein aag lagani hai (You have to light up the Border-Gavaskar Trophy)."

To which Kohli said: "Kismien? (What do I have to light up?)", the photographer clarified: "BGT mein (in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy)," to which Kohli gave a nod of acknowledgment before heading to his car.

India defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the Test series and will now hope to win the New Zealand Tests 3-0 to boost their chances of qualifying for the final of the WTC 2025.

Following the New Zealand series, India's next major challenge will be the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, featuring a five-Test series against Australia. The much-anticipated series between India and Australia begins on November 22, with the first Test set in Perth.

The second Test, scheduled from December 6 to 10, will be a day-night contest at Adelaide Oval. The series then moves to The Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, from December 14 to 18.

The iconic Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground will be the fourth Test from December 26 to 30. The fifth and final Test match will take place in Sydney on January 3.
