WATCH- Babar Azam rudely pushes fan’s hand from his shoulder; local spinner clean bowls him in practice match

Babar Azam will play for Stallions in Champions Cup 2024 starting from September 12.

Pakistan’s ace batter Babar Azam is going through a torrid time both on the field and off the field as well. His bat has been silent on the pitch and off the field, he recently was caught on camera behaving rudely.

Babar Azam, one of Pakistan's most recognized cricketers, has a huge global fan base. It is not uncommon for fans to mob him for photos wherever he travels.  

This time, he was spotted moving a fan's hand away from his shoulder while attempting to strike a selfie pose. The incident occurred before the Pakistan Champions One-Day Cup 2024, in which Babar will represent the Stallions.

In the viral video, a fan attempted to take a photo with his arm around Babar's shoulder, which the cricketer did not appreciate.

He quickly removed the fan's hand while still posing for the shot. This episode sparked considerable criticism on social media, with fans and experts questioning Babar's actions.

Meanwhile, talking about Babar Azam’s woes on the field, he recently managed only 64 runs across four innings in Pakistan's 0-2 Test series loss to Bangladesh. He has not scored a Test fifty in the last 16 Test innings and Babar’s last Test century came in December 2022 against New Zealand.

His problems with the bat didn’t end as he prepared for the Champions one-day Cup. In the five-team event, the 29-year-old right-handed batter will be led by Mohammad Haris. Babar played in a practice match before the event began, but he only managed to score 20 runs from 20 balls.

Mohammad Asghar, a local spinner, bowled him clean. The footage of Babar getting out in an attempt to perform a paddle sweep is now going viral online.

Following the Champions One-Day Cup 2024, Pakistan will face England in a three-match Test series, beginning on October 7 at Multan.
