India B lead by 240 runs in their encounter against India A.
Avesh Khan who playing in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 for the India A team, was seen reacting to fans chanting “RCB, RCB” at him. The match is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
India B was asked to bat first and posted 321 from being 94/7 at one stage. Musheer Khan top-scored with 181 and added 205 runs for the 8th wicket with Navdeep Saini (54). For India A, Akash Deep picked 4 wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan took two scalps each.
In reply, India A posted 231 runs with KL Rahul (37) and Mayank Agarwal (36) being the main run-getters. India B bowlers Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini picked three wickets each, helping their team gain a 90-run lead.
In the second innings, India B suffered another top-order collapse with them being reduced to 94/3 with Musheer Khan falling for a duck. But Rishabh Pant (61) and Sarfaraz Khan (46) counter-attacked to get India B back in the game. At stumps, India B was 150/6 with a lead of 240 runs.
A video that became popular on social media showed spectators chanting "RCB-RCB" while Avesh fielded near the boundary ropes. The pacer responded to the supporters' chants with a hand motion, asking them to keep chanting.
