Bangladesh recovered from 26/2 to post 262 runs thanks to Litton Das (138) and Mehidy Hasan (78).
Then Khurram Shahzad’s amazing bowling coupled with Mir Hamza’s brilliance reduced Bangladesh to 26/6. But then listless bowling, uninspiring captaincy, and poor fielding led to Bangladesh's recover to post 262 runs in their first do.
Litton Das played a knock of a lifetime, scoring 138 with Mehidy Hasan continuing his good all-round form, scoring 78 with the bat. Khurram Shahzad finished with 6/90, while Hamza and Salman Ali Agha picked two wickets each.
In their second innings, Pakistan lost two wickets for 9 runs on the board at stumps on day three with Abdullah Shafique and nightwatchman Khurram Shahzad being sent back to the pavilion.
However, the focus was on poor fielding by Pakistan as the Bangladesh innings had started with Saud Shakeel dropping a dolly catch in slips, and at the end of the innings, Shan Masood, the captain, completed the circle.
In the 75th over of Bangladesh innings, Khurram Shahzad got Khaled Mahmud to play a false shot off a full delivery. The ball lobbed towards Shan Masood at short cover, but the Pakistan captain let the ball go through his hands in a poor and lazy effort.
Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub were visibly frustrated by his lazy effort, as they expressed their emotions while fielding.
