West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite has once again grabbed the headlines for his hard-hitting skills. However, he hit his helmet out of the park this time around rather than a cricket ball.

The video of his act has taken the internet by storm and fans are in shock to see this side of Brathwaite.

The incident occurred in the Max60 Caribbean 2024 Qualifier 1, where Brathwaite was representing New York Strikers against Grand Cayman Jaguars at George Town.

A short ball from Joshua Little brushed the Caribbean all-rounder’s shoulder and travelled straight to the keeper who appealed for a caught-behind after grabbing the ball. The umpire raised his finger even though it seemed that the ball didn’t make any contact with the bat.

Brathwaite was left infuriated by the decision and he expressed his dissent in a ferocious manner. He smashed his helmet out of the park while heading back to the dressing room.

The man from Barbados threw his helmet with the bat again as he reached closer to the team’s dugout.

Here’s the video:

Coming to the match, New York Strikers defeated the Grand Cayman Jaguars by eight runs in the Qualifier 1 to enter the final of the Max60 Cayman Islands.

Asked to bat first, the opening duo of Mitchell Owen (22 off 10 balls) and Brandon McMullen (18 off 8) shared 34 runs in 2.2 overs to set the foundation for Strikers’ formidable 108/8 in 10 overs.

During the chase, Alex Hales’ 24-ball 35* and skipper Sikandar Raza’s 16-ball 27-run went in vain as Jaguars were restricted to 96/5 in their allotted 10 overs.
