Reigning World Champion Neeraj Chopra had to contend with a Silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He managed to make one proper throw and it was enough for him to remain at second place throughout the competition.

Despite not looking his best and only throwing 89.45m in six attempts in the final, Neeraj finished narrowly behind Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal with an Olympic record-breaking 92.97m attempt.

The Indian ace, who is presently the reigning world and Asian Games champion, also stated that regular ailments in the buildup to Paris 2024 hampered his preparations for a championship defence.

World Champion Neeraj improved on his season-best performance in the men's javelin throw event at the legendary Stade de France on Thursday. Neeraj only unleashed one clean throw (89.45m) as the 26-year-old was one and done in the final, winning India's first silver medal in the 2024 Summer Games.

The Indian cricket fraternity was all praises for Neeraj Chopra’s effort and lauded him on social media.
