Pant, who had met with a serious accident in December 2022, will be seen back in action in the IPL 2024. He spent 14 months recovering and rehabbing at the NCA as he had undergone knee surgery and other procedures to correct issues in the aftermath of the crash.
He received the medical clearance from BCCI and NCA a couple of days back and Pant has joined the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp in Vizag to prepare for the IPL 2024, where he is set to captain the franchise.
Meanwhile, on the podcast, Gilchrist asked Rishabh Pant how he’d sledge Michael Vaughan if he was keeping wickets while the ex-England captain was batting.
Rishabh Pant cheekily replied: "I would say 'You're focusing too much on social media instead of playing your cricket' (laughs)"
It was a dig at how active Vaughan is on X (formerly Twitter). Gilchrist and Vaughan both couldn't control their laughter at Pant's response.
Pant was also asked how he would look to disturb Gilchrist's concentration. His forthcoming response was that Gilchrist was always in his zone, so it's impossible to disturb players like him.
