Tendulkar captained the Masters XI against Akshay Kumar's Khiladi XI.

The opening day of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL 2024) saw a gala of stars converging in Thane’s Dadoji Kondadev Stadium on March 6, 2024. Legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar had invited Jammu and Kashmir’s para cricket team captain Amir Hussain Lone with his family to the inauguration.

Kickstarting the inaugural edition of the Indian Street Premier League, batting legend Tendulkar captained his Master XI side against Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar's Khiladi XI. Tendulkar also opened the innings with Lone in the special match.

It was a fun match, which featured Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa, Akshay Kumar among others, the champion batter was dismissed by Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui.

While batting on 30, Tendulkar top-edged off Faruqui and got caught. "Complete silence in the stadium," the commentator said.
