Australia leads the three-Test series 2-0.
Pakistan’s ace batter Babar Azam had a terrible outing in Tests in 2023. He spent the entire year without scoring a fifty in the format and even in the ongoing Australia Test series, he has been below par.
Babar played five Tests in 2023 and scored 204 runs at a poor average of 22.66. The current tour of Australia only intensified Babar Azam’s challenges. In the first Test, he scored 21 and 14 runs. In the second Test, he scored 1 and 41 runs. 41 runs is the highest innings for Babar this year.

Pakistan has lost the three-Test series 0-2 with the final match to be played in Sydney from January 3rd. The visitors will have a lot to play for as they would want to avoid a whitewash and even go for a win as they have lost 16 Tests on a trot in Australia from 1995 onwards.
Babar Azam’s form will be paramount for the Pakistan team as they hope to begin their 2024 year with a win over Australia and salvage some pride. And for this, Babar hit the nets to prepare for the final Test to find his form back.
