Warner scored 38 and 6 in his final Test outing in MCG.
Warner tried to force a short ball outside off stump with a pull shot but only managed to drag it onto his stumps. Warner trudged back to the pavilion and as he walked off, the MCG’s ovation seemed to move Warner.
He acknowledged the applause by waving his bat and then gave a thumbs-up to the fans.
In addition to this, while walking into the pavilion, Warner handed his gloves to a young fan who was eagerly awaiting a high-five from the veteran Australian batter.
