England batting superstar Harry Brook showed why he is considered to be a special talent in T20 format. He showcased how devastatingly good he can be with the bat in the recent third T20I between West Indies and England in Grenada.

West Indies scored 222/6 in 20 overs after being sent in by England captain Jos Buttler at the National Cricket Stadium in St George's, Grenada. Nicholas Pooran scored 82 in 45 balls with six fours and six sixes, while Rovman Powell (39) and Sherfane Rutherford (29) contributed quickly.

Adil Rashid and Sam Curran each took two wickets for England.

In response, Jos Buttler (51) and Phil Salt combined 115 runs in 11 overs for the first wicket. Salt went on to record his maiden T20I century, finishing undefeated on 109 in 56 balls with four fours and nine sixes. Liam Livingstone hit 31 in 18 balls, including three sixes.

It all came down to the last over as England needed 21 runs from the final 6 balls to win. Andre Russell was tasked with bowling the final over and defending the total.

Brook began with a boundary near the fine leg region, guiding Russell's attempted yorker with a flick of his wrist. Brook then hit a six over the covers to increase his and England's confidence by scoring 10 runs off two balls.

Russell's full delivery on Brook's legs resulted in the England batter scooping the ball over the fine leg boundary for a six, leaving only 5 runs to be scored off the next three balls. Brook attempted to hit the short-pitched ball for a boundary but only got a double.

Russell's wide wider delivery was then sent over the third man boundary for a six, completing a dramatic turnaround to win the game for his side. Brook batted at an astounding strike rate of 442.86 in the third T20I and put the IPL franchises on notice ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.
