Australians want to keep the former skipper Babar Azam in check in the Test series.
Australian bowling attack of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, captain Pat Cummins, and Nathan Lyon heaped praise on the former Pakistan captain and star batter Babar Azam ahead of the upcoming Test series between the two teams.
Australia and Pakistan will face each other in a three-match Test series, starting on December 14 in Perth.
Ahead of the first Test, Australian captain and star pace Cummins lauded Azam's impressive skills, saying his minimal weaknesses and versatile technique helped him score effectively across the ground.

Pat Cummins was quoted as saying by CA and Prime Video: “Babar doesn’t have too many weaknesses. He has pretty tight technique and can score all around the ground. He is going to be hard work. He is kind of in the upper echelon of the batters at the moment around the world, so it will be satisfying if you get him out.”
Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood hailed Babar Azam as a superclass player.
Hazlewood said: “He’s a superclass player and has been for a long time. Babar burst into the arena as an ODI batter and later changed his game to be strong in Test cricket as well. If you miss, he hurts you and tries to put pressure back on bowlers.”
On the other hand, Mitchell Starc lauded Babar’s capability to take control of the game and said that the hosts want to keep the former skipper quiet in the upcoming Test series.
Starc signed off by saying, “Babar Azam has got a great batting temperament and has got all the shots. He can build an inning and can also be ultra-aggressive. Babar has the ability to take the game away from you. He’s one of the best and we hope to keep Babar quiet on this tour.”
