Medical examinations indicated a muscle injury in the shoulder region, unrelated to any previous shoulder issues. Surgical intervention was required to rectify the shoulder issue and it was carried out successfully.

He took to X and shared a video with a message for his fans and said: “Feeling better now. Request you to keep me in your prayers. Everyone was sending messages, including fans, and I told myself I'll respond to them after the surgery. Thank you so much. Also, request you to support the team and hopefully, they will make you proud."
Post-surgery, Shah has been advised a period of rest lasting four to six weeks, followed by a gradual rehabilitation process. Naseem Shah's recovery timeline indicates a prolonged absence from the cricketing scene, with an estimated return to action in three to four months.
