Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Roger Binny attended Pakistan Cricket Board's Gala Dinner at Lahore on Monday, 4 September. Binny attended the party alongside Rajiv Shukla two days after India's match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023.

Binny was asked to speak at the dinner and the BCCI president showered praise on the PCB for their hospitality. This was Binny's first visit to the neighboring country since 2006.

The 1983 World Cup-winning all-rounder opined on the India-Pakistan cricketing relations and said that things came to a standstill when India and Pakistan played a cricket match against each other.

"I would like to thank to Pakistan Cricket Board for the invitation to tonight's programme. I bring you greetings from the BCCI, and the cricket lovers of India. As your Excellency said India-Pakistan is one of the biggest games that is played. I can tell you, sir. When India plays Pakistan, everything comes to a standstill," Roger Binny said at the event.

"People don't work, the roads are empty. Everybody's in front of the television watching cricket. That's how big cricket is in India and Pakistan,” he added.

BCCI president thanked PCB for the dinner and said that it was a wonderful experience from the time they crossed the border.

"I must thank the Pakistan Cricket Board for its hospitality from the time we crossed the border this afternoon. It was a It was a wonderful experience," Binny said.

Binny's trip to Pakistan is a key turning point in cricket diplomacy, demonstrating the game's capacity to unite people and promote global friendship.

Binny's presence in Pakistan as the leader of the richest cricket governing body in the world serves as a reminder of the significance of the Asia Cup and the ongoing cooperation between cricketing nations.
