Kohli hit out at the news publication for publishing fake news.
Virat Kohli on Tuesday (August 15), slammed a news report claiming that he's getting a pitch built at his under-construction Alibaug farmhouse.
Kohli, who's currently at his home in Mumbai, was seen visiting the construction site of the Alibaug property with wife Anushka Sharma. The couple, as per the Times of India report, invested in an 8-acre land in Zirad village in Alibaug, where they will build a lavish farmhouse.
The report went on to claim that the 34-year-old cricketer is also getting a cricket pitch built inside the farmhouse. The couple reportedly have briefed their architect to build a minimalistic property, lush with greenery.
Taking to Instagram, Kohli posted a story to deny the news and expressed regret that the famous media house is also now publishing 'fake news'. He wrote ‘Bachpan se jo akhbaar padha hai, woh bhi fake news chaapne lage ab’.
The power couple currently reside in Mumbai in a sea-facing plush apartment. They also own a bungalow in Gurugram. Kohli hails from Delhi and stays mostly at the bungalow when visiting his family.
