MS Dhoni underwent knee surgery right after he led CSK to IPL 2023 win.
Dhoni recently led the CSK to their fifth IPL title as they defeated Gujarat Titans in the final of the IPL 2023. Immediately the day after the final, MS Dhoni flew to Mumbai to get surgery on his knee which had troubled him throughout the tournament.
Recently there was a lot of celebratory environment in Chennai as MS Dhoni, along with Sakshi visited the city a few days after his 42nd birthday, for the audio and trailer launch of his maiden home production, LGM.
In a video captured by a fan, Dhoni gave an assuring sign that his knee is doing well following the surgery. Dhoni was being escorted through the Chennai airport alongside his wife Sakshi when one fan asked, “Mahi bhai, how is your knee?”
To this, Dhoni smiled towards his camera and waved.

Earlier, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan had confirmed last month that the procedure had gone well, but seeing a personal update from Dhoni himself will provide relief to fans.
While he hasn’t announced his retirement from the IPL yet, he said that he needed to see how his body holds up when the IPL 2024 arrives.
