Out-of-favour India opener Mayank Agarwal fine-tuned his skills in adverse conditions ahead of the Duleep Trophy 2023, starting June 28 in Bengaluru.

On Tuesday (June 20), Agarwal shared a video on Twitter where he can be seen batting in the nets on a wet surface with rain pouring down.

“Rain doesn’t play a spoilsport if you use it to train yourself," he captioned the video.

Mayank Agarwal is keen to reclaim his place in the Indian Test team. His last Test appearance was against Sri Lanka in March 2022.

Agarwal was last seen in action during the IPL 2023 season for his new franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had an underwhelming campaign for SRH, scoring 270 runs from 10 innings with one half-century.

Mayank will turn up for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2023. He will act as Hanuma Vihar’s deputy for the South Zone side in the upcoming domestic tournament.
