Currie was also named Player of the Match.
The incident happened in the penultimate over of Hampshire's chase. With 23 runs required from 11 balls, Hampshire's Benny Howell tried to pull Tymal Mills for a six over midwicket. However, Currie had other ideas as he came flying in from deep square to pluck the ball mid-air. His attempt left everyone, including the commentator, in absolute disbelief.

Dinesh Karthik couldn’t believe what he saw and dubbed Currie's effort as "one of the greatest catches ever."
"Has to be one of the greatest catches ever. The distance he covers before diving ..phewwwww,” he tweeted.
England captain Ben Stokes could just react with a “Filth” comment.
Sussex Sharks defeated Hampshire Hawks at Hove to secure only their third T20 Blast victory of the season, thanks to Oli Carter and Currie. Carter crushed 64 off 33 balls in only his sixth game in the format, capitalizing on his opportunity at No. 3 to knock six fours and four sixes.
Currie, a 24-year-old left-arm bowler, caused havoc early in the game, taking three wickets to reduce Hampshire to 24/4 at one point. He was named the Player of the Match.
