Adidas and BCCI inked a five-year deal for making Indian team jerseys for Men and Women's sides.
The Indian cricket board (BCCI), in May, confirmed a multi-year partnership with Adidas as the kit sponsor for the India men and women's cricket teams across multiple age groups.
On June 1, Adidas' grand reveal has managed to break the internet after Team India fans saw three huge jerseys floating over the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
"An iconic moment. An iconic stadium. Introducing the new Team India Jerseys," Adidas wrote, using the Wankhede Stadium as the backdrop for the jersey unveiling.
While the Test kit has the 3-stripes running on the shoulders of the traditional white shirt, one of the two white-ball kits has a darker shade of blue.
The jersey received mixed reactions from the fans on Twitter with many of them praising the Test jersey for its uniqueness, but the limited overs uniforms didn’t get over the fans perhaps in the first look and might be seen differently, when the players actually don them in matches.
