Vipers defeated Capitals by 26 runs.
The match was played on February 2nd and after winning the toss, Dubai Capitals invited Colin Munro-led Desert Vipers to bat first. While Sam Billings played a brilliant knock scoring 54 runs off 48 balls, it was West Indian Sherfane Rutherford who stole the show completely thanks to his big hitting as he scored an unbeaten half-century, taking Vipers to 182/7 in 20 overs.
The assault by Sherfane came in the 16th over bowled by Yusuf Pathan after he got the strike off the first ball. Rutherford then hammered the former India all-rounder for five back-to-back sixes, peppering the leg-side boundary and hitting straight as well. The Vipers scored 31 runs in the over.
