Former Indian captain Virat Kohli said that he regrets not meeting legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar as he wanted to have a conversation with her about her journey. Mangeshkar considered to be one of the all-time greatest singers, passed away at the age of 92 in February 2022.

Mangeshkar was an avid cricket fan and notably had done a concert for the BCCI in 1983 which helped the board gather enough funds to reward the then World Cup-winning team which was led by Kapil Dev.

In a video titled ‘AMA with Virat’ and shared on his official Twitter handle, Kohli was asked which historical female figure he would like to take out for dinner, Kohli named Mangeshkar.

"I never got the chance to meet Lataji, so it would have been amazing to have a conversation and get to know about her life and about her journey a little bit more," said Kohli.

Another historical person on Kohli's wishlist is the legendary American boxer Muhammad Ali. Ali was also the person Kohli picked to be stranded on an island in a hypothetical situation.

One of the fittest cricketers in the world, Kohli is credited with raising the fitness standards in the Indian team as well, also revealed that his record time for planking was three and a half minutes.

Moreover, Kohli opened up on the advice he would like to give to his 16-year-old self. He said: "Learn about the world a little (bit) more, open your mind up a little more, there is life beyond Delhi as well.”
