In the final over of the Capitals' batting innings, Powell tore into his Caribbean teammate Kieron Pollard. Pollard bowled a full delivery on the second ball of the over to Powell into the stumps and the batter threw a kitchen sink at it, smashing the ball for an eventual six.

In reply, MI captain Kieron Pollard slammed 86 in 38 balls with 8 fours and 6 sixes, while Andre Fletcher (35*) and Najibullah Zadran (30 in 9 balls) almost took Emirates past the finishing line, but they could only manage 206/5 losing the match by 16 runs.
