Labuschagne made 79 runs in 1st innings of SCG Test.
While Khawaja remained unbeaten on 54, Labuschagne was caught by Kyle Verreynne off the bowling of Anrich Nortje for 79 runs, who had also got the wicket of David Warner for 10 runs.
During his knock, Labuschagne had already survived a controversial catch in the slips which was ruled not out by the TV umpire despite the on-field umpire giving it out on the soft signal.
Labuschagne is known for his quirkiness with his antics and body language and added one more feather to it when he signaled towards the Australian dressing room to bring him a lighter as he wanted to make some changes to his helmet.

This left his teammates and the commentators confused but they obliged the request regardless. The Australian batter proceeded to burn the insides of his helmet, seemingly to remove loose fragments that might be coming into his eye line.
