Rishabh Pant is out of danger and undergoing treatment in Dehradun.
Rishabh Pant reportedly fell asleep at the wheel resulting in his Mercedes car hitting a divider on NH 58 near Narsan village, Roorkee, and tumbled a few times before coming to a rest. Pant somehow managed to get out of the car with the help of locals before the vehicle caught fire and was gutted.
Police then helped Rishabh Pant to a local hospital for initial treatment and he is currently in Max Hospital in Dehradun getting further treatments. BCCI said in a statement that Pant “has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.”
Thus far, Rishabh Pant has received wishes for a speedy recovery from all over the globe including international cricketers, his India teammates, and the Indian cricketing fraternity.
Now Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted sending prayers to Rishabh Pant for his quick recovery.
PM Modi tweeted: “Distressed by the accident of noted cricketer Rishabh Pant. I pray for his good health and well-being. @RishabhPant17”
Notably, it was a sad day for PM Modi as well, as his mother Heeraba passed away at the age of 100 and the Prime Minister rushed to Ahmedabad as soon as he got the news of her demise. He, along with brother Somabhai and other family members, cremated his mother, paying final tributes.
