Rishabh Pant is currently in a specialty hospital in Dehradun and in stable condition.
Pant was traveling to his hometown of Roorkee in Uttarakhand to be with his family for the new year when his car collided with a divider and caught fire. The accident took place in Manglaur in the Haridwar district on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
The police got Rishabh admitted to a local hospital for initial treatment and now has been moved to a specialty Max Hospital in Dehradun for further treatment and care.
As per a BCCI statement, Rishabh Pant is in stable condition, but has suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.
Pant had reportedly dozed off while driving his car which led to the accident. He barely managed to escape the car by breaking glass before it was engulfed in flames with a few locals helping him out.
Rishabh was supposed to report to the NCA for strength and conditioning training after being rested from the upcoming Sri Lanka white-ball series at home.
