Arjun Saud was playing for Biratnagar Super Kings in the Nepal T20 league.
Be it gathering the ball close to stumps by moving his gloves towards the ball so that he could gain that extra millisecond to make quick stumpings or his no look run outs where he knew the location of stumps and basically flicked the ball quickly after receiving it and most of the times, the batter was caught short of the crease.
His unusual technique has been tried by many other keepers with some success but most recently, Nepal wicketkeeper Arjun Saud effected two runouts without looking at the stumps, making fans remember MS Dhoni.
In the ongoing Nepal T20 League, the wicketkeeper of the Biratnagar Super Kings, Arjun Saud was a live wire in the field against Janakpur Royals.
First in the 9th over, the batter had pushed the ball towards cover and set off for a quick single. The fielder pounced on the ball and quickly released it toward the keeper. But the throw was a bit wide, but Saud acrobatically dived to collect the ball and hit the stumps mid-air, finding non-striker Sundeep Jora short of the crease.
Then two balls later, Rajesh Pulami was found short of the crease as Arjun Saud collected the throw from the deep and basically just flicked them onto the stumps in between his legs and affected an amazing runout.
Here is the video showing both run outs:
