Unbelievable and astonishing sights were seen during the 5th match of the ongoing BBL 12 tournament between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder which was played at the Sydney Showground Stadium on December 16, 2022.

Strikers won the toss and chose to bat first and managed to post a below-par 139/9 in 20 overs. Chris Lynn top-scored with 36 runs and Colin de Grandhomme contributed 33 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqui picked 3/20, while Gurinder Sandhu, Daniel Sams, and Brendan Doggett took two wickets apiece.

However, what happened next was just into surprising and unbelievable territory as Sydney Thunder's batting unraveled completely. Openers Alex Hales and Matthew Gilkes were dismissed for ducks and that opened a floodgate of wickets.

In a blink of an eye or a short toilet break, Thunder was reduced to 10/8 at one stage in 4.5 overs. Apart from the openers, captain Jason Sangha, Chris Green, and Gurinder Sandhu scored ducks as well, while Brendan Doggett top-scored with four runs.

Thunder was bowled out for 15 runs with one ball left for the 6-over powerplay to end. For Strikers, Henry Thorton picked 5/3 and was named Player of the Match as well. Wes Agar recorded figures of 4/6 in 2 overs.

Thunder recorded the lowest total in all T20s beating Turkey’s 21 against the Czech Republic in 2019. The cricket fraternity couldn’t believe what happened in the middle and reacted accordingly on Twitter.
