Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come under the scanner over the state of the pitch in the ongoing Rawalpindi Test between Pakistan and England.

Batting first, the visitors piled up a mammoth 657/10 with their four batters – Harry Brook (153), Zak Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107) and Ollie Pope (108) – smashing centuries.

In reply, the hosts were 499/7 at the close of play on Day 3 with Abdullah Shafique (114), Imam-ul-Haq (121) and Babar Azam (136) also slamming hundreds.

While the Rawalpindi track is drawing flak from the cricketing world, the criticism seems to have triggered some Pakistani cricket fans.

On Saturday (December 3), a Pakistani fan tweeted: “To those Indian fans saying Pakistani batters can only play on flat tracks. Yasir Shah has more test hundreds away from Asia than MS Dhoni”.

To which, former India leg-spinner Amit Mishra gave a savage reply as he reminded the Pakistani fan of Dhoni’s stature as a captain.

“It took 3 captains and 24 years for Pakistan to win World cup, T20 World cup and champions trophy. MS Dhoni won all three within 7 years,” Mishra replied.
