Young South African sensation Dewald Brevis stunned everyone in the cricketing community as he smashed a record 162 runs off just 57 deliveries in the ongoing CSA T20 Challenge when his side Titans clashed against Knights in a crucial encounter on Monday.

He hit 13 fours and 13 sixes in his knock in which his ton came off just 35 balls, sending him into record books. It was the joint third-highest T20 individual score along with Hamilton Masakadza and Hazratullah Zazai.

However, Brevis didn’t just stop there, he went on to showcase his brilliance in the field as well after his fireworks with the bat.

The astounding catch from Brevis came in the seventh over of the Knight’s innings. Opener Jacques Snyman backed himself to clear the boundary in the second ball of the over, after dispatching the first for a massive six.

Snyman got a decent connection with the ball and it seemed that the ball would go past the boundary ropes. However, Brevis stationed near the boundary had other ideas. He jumped from his position at the deep mid-wicket boundary and plucked the ball out of mid-air.

He then threw the ball back into play, regained his balance, and dived forward, to catch the ball again, completing a sensational catch.
