Legendary cricketers Sir Vivian Richards and Javed Miandad recently competed in a cycling contest during the Pakistan Junior League.

A number of other former cricketers including the likes of Shahid Afridi, Imran Tahir, Colin Munro, and Darren Sammy, besides Richards and Miandad, were chosen to serve as league mentors for the competition.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted a video of the hilarious incident with the caption, "Show us a better video today, we will wait."

Here’s the video:

Speaking of the league, the Pakistan Cricket Board is presently running a Junior Pakistan League in which six teams from all over the nation are competing. These teams are made up of the best players in the nation.

The competition kicked off on October 6 and will go on till October 21 at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. Bahawalpur Royals, Gujranwala Giants, Gwadar Sharks, Hyderabad Hunters, Mardan Warriors, and Rawalpindi Raiders are the participating teams.

Miandad, arguably the best batter Pakistan’s ever produced, has over 15000 runs and 31 tons to his name in 357 games across formats. He also scored 6 double centuries, the most by any man from his nation, and 6th overall.

Indian fans though don’t have fond memories of this Pakistani legend as he was at his destructive best during matches against India. In 28 Tests against the arch-rivals, Miandad aggregated 2228 runs at a staggering 67.52 apiece. He also tallied 1175 runs in 35 ODIs against the Men in Blue.

If you ask any bowler from the 1970s and 80s who they feared bowling to the most, one name that will come up more often than not is Sir Vivan Richards. The cricketing world has seldom seen a batter bat with as much flair, panache, and flamboyance as the West Indian legend displayed.

Speaking of the stats, Richards amassed 15,261 runs in 308 games across formats. He was also a more than handy off-spinner as is reflected by his tally of 118 wickets in 187 ODIs.
