Ravindra Jadeja underwent a knee surgery last week.
Last week, Jadeja underwent a knee surgery and shared update on his Instagram account. He posted a picture from the hospital bed with the caption: "The surgery was successful. There are many people to thank for their support and involvement - BCCI, my teammates, support staff, physios, doctors and the fans. I will start my rehab soon and try to get back to cricket soon as I can. Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes."
As Jadeja is on his way to recovery, India’s young pacer Chetan Sakariya on Wednesday (September 14) cheered him in a unique way.
Taking to Twitter, Sakariya shared a video, in which he can be seen imitating Jadeja's trademark 'sword celebration' that he does after notching up a milestone with the bat.
"In case you are missing jaddubhai @imjadeja Here's wishing him a speedy recovery," he wrote in the caption.
Sakariya’s antics also impressed Jadeja as the latter wrote: “Hahah well done.”
During the recently held Asia Cup, Ravindra Jadeja played the first two games before he picked up a right knee injury and was ruled out of the multi-nation tournament.
He was in good touch with both bat and ball in the group stage of the Asia Cup 2022. The southpaw played a key role in India’s thrilling five-wicket win over Pakistan in their tournament opener, scoring 35 runs while batting at No. 4. Against Hong Kong, he didn’t get an opportunity to bat but returned with the bowling figures of 1/15 in his four overs and also affected a brilliant run-out as the Men in Blue emerged victorious by 40 runs.
