Virat Kohli turns back time to give us a laugh on some cool street cricket slangs of the past.
India's star batter Virat Kohli took a trip down memory lane in a recent video posted on Twitter in which he was asked about his knowledge of street cricket slang and can be seen talking about terms like 'Batta' and 'baby over'.
Everyone in India must have played street cricket atleast once in their life given that India is such a cricket-crazy nation.
In the video posted on Twitter on Thursday, Kohli bursts into laughter when he is asked about the slang called 'Batta' which he explains is a very hard and rugged way of chucking a ball, especially the ones playing with a tennis ball.
He then goes on to tell us about 'Baby Over' which is essentially a smaller over of just three balls than the usual six and hence the name. This is when he is reminded of the baby overs that he must have played during his street cricket days.
There is yet another slang called 'Try Ball' which used to be an amusing excuse for a batter getting out on the first ball itself with no runs to get another shot at the game.

On the game front, Kohli returned to form in Asia Cup 2022 where he made his much-awaited 71st international century and his maiden T20I century against Afghanistan. He will next be seen in action in the T20I Series against Australia at home.
