Stuart Binny shined with 82* as India Legends posted 217/4 in 20 overs.
India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and chose to bat first. Suresh Raina made his RSWS debut with legends like Yuvraj Singh, Munaf Patel, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and others making up the playing XI.
Sachin opened the batting alongside Naman Ojha and the 49-year-old rolled back the clock to give the fans a glimpse of his stupendous batting prowess. Ojha smashed three fours to give momentum to the Indian innings in the first couple of overs, while Tendulkar was getting his eye in.
He hit fast bowler Makhaya Ntini for a four through the long-on region as the crowd cheered loudly for him. In the very next over, Sachin creamed Johan van der Wath for a four through the long-off region.
Unfortunately, Tendulkar’s knock was ended when he was caught by Johan Botha off the bowling of Makhaya Ntini in the 6th over.
India made 217/4 in 20 overs, while for the South Africa Legends, Johan van der Wath was the pick of the bowlers with 2/28.
Meanwhile, the fans were given a heavy dose of nostalgia by Sachin Tendulkar as he dazzled in the middle and they shared their joy and elation on social media site Twitter.
