WATCH- Suresh Raina trains alongside Yuvraj Singh for the Road Safety World Series 2022

Raina recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket including IPL.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina had recently announced retirement from the IPL and cricket in India citing offers from foreign T20 leagues and will now be seen in the upcoming Road Safety World Series 2022 where he will play for the India Legends team captained by Sachin Tendulkar.

He shared a video of himself joining the squad in Kanpur as they prepare for the tournament, which was won by India Legends in 2021. The Sachin Tendulkar-led side will clash with South Africa Legends in the opener on September 10.

The tournament is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India to promote the benefits of following safety rules while driving.

The second edition of the tournament will feature teams from West Indies, England, Sri Lanka, Australia, and Bangladesh, apart from South Africa and New Zealand are the newest entrants.

Raina began his preparations for the showpiece event. He shared a video of his training routine on Instagram, ahead of his debut in the star-studded tournament. He could be seen batting in the nets, hitting the ball as cleanly as ever.

He was also seen with Yuvraj Singh and had some catching practice also. “All set for the Road Safety Series. Team India Legends.” Raina wrote in his caption.
