They were discussing Shahzad’s ouster from the Pakistan cricket team.
Shahid Afridi, former Pakistan captain made headlines recently, albeit for all wrong reasons as he was caught having a heated argument with his former teammate and the Pakistani batsman, Ahmad Shahzad, on a live TV show.
Actually, Shahzad and Afridi were part of a discussion on Samaa TV's Game Set Match show where things got out of hand and the duo got onto the stage and had an intense argument after doing the same on the live show, with pictures of the event surfacing on the internet.
They were discussing Shahzad’s ouster from the Pakistan cricket team and that’s when things turned so intense and they seemed to forget they were talking on a live show. Notably, Shahzad has not played for Pakistan since 2019 and had gotten most of the opportunities under the captaincy of Afridi.

Speaking on Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi said: “Ahmad was targeted because of me because I supported him a lot. I gave him a lot of chances, which turned out to be a negative thing for him when I left captaincy. I think people thought he was my favorite.”
He added, “I supported him a lot because I wasn't finding an opener of his ability in Pakistan. He was performing as well. Obviously, he couldn't perform in all games but he was targeted because of me as well.”
Well, Shehzad refused to agree with Afridi and said: “Shahid bhai, listen. I don't know why you said that. You've been a elder brother to me, you can say anything to me. Sometimes, it does hurt me, but you have always been a elder brother to me.”
Shehzad also claimed that he was being denied opportunities to play even in Pakistan Super League (PSL) and said he can't score runs sitting at home.
To which Africa replied, “I want you to score runs, enjoy your life with your wife and kids. Allah has made life beautiful for you.”
The Shahzad replied: “I keep saying that. I want to score runs, but at least don't deny me the platforms where I can score. I will ask you, when sides in PSL want to pick me, who comes in and says no? You tell me, where do I score runs? At my home?”
