Tendulkar and Ganguly made 6609 runs in 136 innings in ODIs as an opening pair.
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly revolutionized ODI cricket when they started opening together for India from 1996 onwards. The duo opened in 136 innings and made 6609 runs at an average of 49.32. Their highest-ever partnership was 258 which came against Sri Lanka.
They had 21 century partnerships in between them and still sit at the top of the table when it comes to opening pairs in ODI cricket.

As Ganguly turned 50, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to share a special birthday wish for his friend and former teammate. He also revealed in the video why he called Ganguly, who is lovingly known as ‘Dada’ (brother in Bengali), Dadi.
Tendulkar said in his wishes: “Happy birthday dadi, how are you? everything fine? everyone might be thinking why am I calling Dada, Dadi? To clarify, it goes back to when we were 13 years old and had gone to indore for a camp and since then, I call Sourav Dadi. Already 50 my friend, how does it feel? We are following you slowly.
