England now has the top 3 highest team totals in ODIs- 498/4, 481/6 and 444/3.
The match which is hosted by VRA ground in Amstelveen, saw Netherlands captain Pieter Seelaar winning the toss and inviting England to bat first. This proved to be the biggest miscalculation probably of all time in ODI cricket.
Netherlands started off well, as Jason Roy fell to Shane Snater for 1 run, but then they had to wait a lot for the next wicket, as Phil Salt (122 in 93 balls with 14 fours and 3 sixes) and Dawid Malan (125 in 109 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes) added 222 runs for the second wicket.

However, instead of the wicket bringing relief to the Dutch team, it brought out Jos Buttler, who basically went on to massacre their bowling lineup in a brutal display of power hitting. He added 184 runs with Malan, who got out at 407, and on the next ball, captain Eoin Morgan fell for a golden duck.
But then Buttler, along with Liam Livingstone hammered the Dutch bowling in the last 5 overs or so, adding 91* runs in 32 balls. Livingstone made 66* in 22 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes, but the hero of England’s 498/4 was Jos Buttler.
England’s total eclipsed their own 481/6 which came against Australia in 2018. England now has the top three highest team totals in ODIs, with their 444/3 against Pakistan in 2016 at the third spot.

This was also the third instance in ODIs when three batters of a team scored centuries in the same innings. Jos Buttler's 150 came off just 65 balls, the second-fastest ever after AB de Villiers. Also, Liam Livingstone's 50 was the second-fastest as well in 17 balls, also just behind AB de Villiers.
For the Netherlands, Philippe Boissevain went for 108 runs in 10 overs, while Logan van Beek gave 99 runs in his 10 overs, picking one wicket.
The entire cricket community was stunned by the ruthless England batting and took to Twitter to react to the stunning display of hitting.
