He eventually got out for 176 with 26 fours and 1 six to his name, but during his knock, he played an amazing reverse ramp shot to delivery by Tim Southee. Southee and Boult started proceedings for the Kiwis on day 4. Southee came on to bowl the third over of the day.
Joe Root was on strike for the first delivery, and fearlessly reverse scooped the ace New Zealand pacer for a six, in what can only be described as an unbelievable shot.
