The match saw former RCB cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal facing off against his ex-captain Virat Kohli and though he didn't pick his wicket, he did play a huge role in his dismissal which came in form of a runout.
Chahal faced RCB for the first time after eight seasons with the franchise, in which he made 113 IPL appearances and took 139 wickets. He was not retained by RCB before the IPL 2022 auction and was eventually signed by Rajasthan Royals for INR 6.5 crores at the mega auction in February.

Kohli was well down the track by then and though he made a valiant effort to recover, he came up centimeters short, as the bails were dislodged in time by Chahal, but the on-filed umpire referred the matter to the TV umpire.
Replays showed that Kohli's bat was on the line, and he was declared out by the third umpire, and walked back dejected on 5 runs from six balls, leaving RCB 62/3.
The Twitterverse had their fun after the dismissal happened as it was Chahal getting rid of his former RCB captain Kohli, now playing for new team RR.
