Shaheen Shah Afridi led his side Lahore Qalandars to their first-ever PSL title win.
Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 42 runs in the summit clash to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) title. It was the first title win for Qalandars and they lifted the trophy in front of their home crowd at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.
The captain of both teams, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan, showed sportsmanship after the match as they hugged each other. Both the cricketers share a very good camaraderie and it showed in their gestures.

In the match, Lahore posted a target of 181 runs despite a poor start to their innings. They were reduced to 25-3 in 4.2 overs after losing the in-form batter, Fakhar Zaman. It was Mohammad Hafeez's 69-run knock that brought them back on track.
Harry Brook smashed unbeaten 22-ball 41 runs and David Wiese added 28* runs off just 8 deliveries as Lahore scored 180/5.
Multan, in their run-chase, never looked like fighting back as they were bowled out on 138 runs in 19.3 overs eventually. Shaheen picked up three wickets and Hafeez continued his impressive performance with a couple of wickets.
