I Love India - Matthew Hayden thanks Narendra Modi for personalized letter on Republic Day

India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence and 73rd year of being a Republic.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on the country’s 73rd Republic Day sent some personalized letters to various known names including cricketers who have a special connection with India.

Stars like Jonty Rhodes, who spends extensive time in India and Chris Gayle, who is loved by the Indian public due to his involvement in the Indian Premier League, received letters from the Indian PM on January 26, 2022.

Now former Australia opener Matthew Hayden posted on his social media as he received a letter from Narendra Modi as well. He posted a few photos on his Instagram with the letter of felicitation from the Indian PM along with his family members.

Hayden was recently seen as the batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2021 and has been previously involved in the Indian Premier League, he played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise alongside MS Dhoni.

I am honored to receive this remarkable facilitation from the Honourable @narendramodi Prime Minister of India celebrating 75 years of Independence as a Nation and in particular the role of the constitution in protecting democracy and human rights.
