Dewald Brevis' batting clips have gone viral on social media due to similarities with AB de Villiers.
South Africa U-19 batter Dewald Brevis is the talk of the town these days after his performance in the ongoing U-19 World Cup 2022 in West Indies. He scored 362 runs in four matches, which included a half-century against India U19.
Brevis' batting style is very similar to Proteas legend AB de Villiers. His batting videos have already gone viral on social media and fans believe he is an upcoming star.
Famously known as 'Baby AB', the 18-year-old revealed that he is a huge fan of De Villiers and Virat Kohli. Brevis wishes to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“For me, the biggest dream is to play for the Proteas and then I am such a big fan of the IPL, I would love to play for RCB because AB (de Villiers) and (Virat) Kohli are there,” said Brevis in a video posted on the official website of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
“Also, all the other T20 competitions around the world. I want to be recognized as an all-rounder with my leg-spin bowling. I want to play all three formats,” he added.
