Glenn Maxwell was the Player of the Match in the clash between Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat.
Australia cricketer Glenn Maxwell took a remarkable catch in the Big Bash League (BBL 11) during the match between Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat. Maxwell, who plays for Melbourne, left the crowd and the commentators stunned with his effort.
It was the 16th over of Brisbane's innings bowled by Nathan Coulter-Nile when Sam Heazlett tried to go over mid-on. Maxwell was after the ball and he ran backward to complete an outstanding catch.
The Melbourne captain was in disbelief of his own effort and he got applauded by the crowd for the one-handed catch. Former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds called it "the best in the BBL ever" and added, There are different types of catches, but for the degree of difficulty that is the best."
"That is the catch of the BBL," former Australia Brett Lee said on Fox Cricket. "I reckon that is one of the best catches I have seen in any form of cricket ever. That is a catch for the ages."
